2023 Revision of USP <797> Recorded Session

The pharmacist and pharmacy technician continuing education course will cover changes enforceable version of USP Chapter <797> (last major revision in 2008). Those that attend this CE can expect to learn about motives for changes, rationale behind existing sterile compounding practices and categorization of Compounded Sterile Preparations (CSPs) based on their risk of microbial contamination.

  1. Compare and contrast the rationale behind existing sterile compounding practices with the motivations behind the updates to USP <797> 
  2. Categorize Compounded Sterile Preparations based on their risk of microbial contamination
  3. Apply the updates to USP <797> guidelines when given practice scenarios
