Target Audience

This course is intended for mental health practitioners, including physicians, marriage and family therapists, social workers, professional counselors, and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:

  1. Summarize the four overlapping roles (coach, mentor, teacher, administrator)
  2. Describe how developing binocular vision of Coaching for Performance & Coaching for Development can take your supervision to the next level
  3. Identify how supervisees can use meaningful measures in their work which can also bring the clients voice into supervision.
  4. Identify how to help supervisees create aggregated data to monitor development over time.
  5. Distinguish how to help supervisees identify what they should be working on in their deliberate practice.
  6. Develop a learning plan that helps supervisee and supervisor track deliberate practice progress.
  7. Recognize the qualities and practices of being a “Good Coach”
