Clinically Challenging Moments with LGBTQ Clients
This presentation will examine treatment considerations for the LGBTQ community. Attendees will take a close look at specific clinically challenging moments and issues common along the the tools and strategies to work through these.
Target Audience
The program is aimed at psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and other allied health professionals who deal with mental health issues and addiction medicine.

At the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Describe key terms and elements relevant to the care of LGBTQ clients
- Describe the effects of double, or duel, stigma for LGBTQ clients
- Explain specific challenging moments and identify tools to effectively manage those
